Looks I wore in the French Riviera

The South of France, mostly known as the SOF, is where I belong. Truly. This place on Earth speaks to me like no other. I’ve yet to discover Provence but Côte d’Azur is my dream place to be.

One of my favourite destinations there is St. Paul de Vence. A small, medieval town that hides a true gem – La Colombe d’Orhistoric, family-owned, luxury hotel that in the 20th century, was treated like a temporary home by many artists, writers and celebrities – Picasso or Assouline owners for example. I had dreamt of going there and now I can tell you that it was the best place I’ve ever stayed at.

I’m an art historian so can you imagine a better holiday for me than a villa filled with art that famous artists exchanged for a stay there? For example, an astonishing Calder sculpture in front of a swimming pool or Picasso in the dining room. Marvelous.

But it’s not the only reason to visit St Paul de Vence. You’ll find an excellent gallery here the Fondation Maeght – which showcases modern art collection of Marguerite and Aimé Maeght in the beautiful building designed by Josep Lluís Sert.

I love the South of France style – capri pants, ballet flats, crochet tops, white looks, stripes. I feel it reflects my style best. Shop my selection of things to pack for the South of France below.
